Product Overview

Business owners are legally responsible for ensuring that fire safety is correctly implemented within their warehouses and offices. The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that fire risk assessments must be carried out in businesses and organisations by a Responsible Person. A fast paced business does not always lead to having additional staff to be assigned as a Competent Person which can properly assess the fire risks and define the corrective actions needed, so the fire risk assessment can be fulfilled by Safelincs.

Pricing is fixed subject to reasonable conditions for offices and warehouses up to 5,000m². For pricing on factories or premises over 5,000m², please contact our Servicing Team today on 0800 612 4827 or at servicing@safelincs.co.uk.

Safelincs' fire risk assessments draw upon years of experience in professional fire safety, helping you to understand the difference between good advice, best practice, and legal requirements. Our service includes FREE access to the Online FRA Portal where you can keep track of the control measures you have in place. Businesses with more than one department or site can cover any number of premises, and you can manage all of your fire safety responsibilities from a single location.

Your fire risk assessment will take into account details such as:

  • The duties placed upon owners, managers, employees, contractors, and visitors
  • Current and potential new fire hazards, and how to reduce or eliminate them with the least disruption to your day to day business
  • The unique risks presented by the nature of your business, and the consequences of fire to you
  • Required and recommended fire fighting equipment or systems for your staff and site
  • Legal requirements for fire detection and warning systems, escape routes, emergency lighting, and fire safety training
  • Fire emergency procedures, particularly for large sites and complex buildings
  • Service schedules for alarms systems, fire suppression, and emergency lighting
  • Time periods and triggers for review of the fire risk assessment and control measures

Any equipment that is recommended through our risk assessment service (except emergency lighting and illuminated signage) can be purchased from Safelincs at an exclusive 10% discount. And we guarantee not to over-prescribe – you can obtain your necessary services and equipment from anywhere of your choosing.

Please Note: Prices are for UK mainland locations only. FRA services are available in the following locations with Price On Application: Central London, Scottish Highlands & Islands, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands. Call today on 0800 612 4827 or email us for more information.

FRA Details

Our trained and professional fire risk assessors will inspect your site in line with all of your requirements for safety, hygiene, privacy, and confidentiality. Their careful inspection will identify existing and potential risks, and produce a detailed fire risk assessment report which will clearly state the solutions needed to improve the fire safety within your business or organisation. We provide these digitally to save on paper but a printed copy is available upon request. The FRA service also includes access to all of your information through our sophisticated online portal – more details on this FREE system below.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that fire risk assessments must be carried out in businesses and organisations by a responsible person. Most companies do not have personnel with the required skills and competence to properly assess the risks and define the necessary corrective actions, so the fire risk assessment can be outsourced to Safelincs.

FAQs (3)
Q. Which type of organisation are your fire risk assessments suitable for?
A.

Our fire risk assessments are suitable for business premises and organisations, HMO communal areas, shops, restaurants, medical practices, schools, education facilities, offices, warehouses and places of worship.

Q. How long will my fire risk assessment be valid for?
A.

There is no definite guide to how often you should carry out a fire risk assessment. Government guidelines state that your fire risks should be regularly reviewed. Our recommendation is that you review your fire safety annually and carry out a full fire risk assessment if there are any changes within your business.

Q. Who needs to have a written fire risk assessment?
A.

If your business or organisation has five or more occupants, you must have a written fire risk assessment. However, it is best practice to still record all the information and all suggested changes, which may have resulted in a follow-up action even if you less that five occupants.
