The Hochiki ASX True Loop Emulator allows the testing of an addressable fire alarm control panel's programming by virtually constructing the entire ESP-compatible network on a connected computer with the provided software. Acting as an interface between the panel and computer, the emulator can simulate up to 127 devices on each of the four loops it supports, which can then be 'activated' in various states, such as a fire event or short-circuit, showing engineers exactly how the panel reacts without disturbing the building's occupants. The emulator can even be used to design and test a fire alarm system with just a panel, which could save time and money on abortive works by planning and testing virtual loops before buying any Hochiki ESP protocol detectors and alarms. Two of these emulators can even be used simultaneously, allowing simulation of up to 8 loops and over 1000 devices.
