Emergency Lighting Reminders

Each business or organisation requires an appointed "responsible person" to carry out periodic testing of the emergency lighting. Testing the emergency lights ensures that the lamp (lighting tube) and the back-up battery are in good working order and can last the full emergency duration.

Safelincs offers an SMS and email reminder service, helping you to remember when your emergency lights are due to be tested. Standards BS 5266-8:2004 and BS EN 50172:2004 describe the testing of emergency lighting units, and the need to test them on a monthly and yearly basis. The frequency and method of the reminders can be set according to your preference, where we also offer a reminder to carry out a short test every month.

The service is entirely free and can be cancelled at any time by following the link to manage your preferences in your reminder message.
