DETA 1113 Mains Powered Optical Smoke Alarm

The DETA 1113 is a mains powered smoke alarms with a replaceable 9V alkaline back-up battery. As the DETA alarms are now discontinued, BRK have developed their 600MBX range to be fully backward-compatible with your outgoing and remaining DETA alarms and bases. The 660MBX is the ideal replacement for the 1113 alarm as it has been designed and tested to fit onto your existing alarm bases so you don’t even need an electrician.

The BRK 660MBX is an optical smoke alarm with alkaline battery backup. The thermally enhanced sensor makes it ideal for installing in hallways, bedrooms, landings and living areas, including those rooms adjacent to kitchens (but not within kitchens). Less advanced alarms can be triggered by cooking fumes – the optical sensor in the 660MBX will reduce this significantly. A central test/hush button makes maintenance of your alarm quick and simple. The replaceable 9V back-up battery will ensure you remain protected even in the event of a power cut.

The simple installation process of the 660MBX replacement alarm negates the need for an electrician, though you must ensure that mains power to all interlinked alarms is turned off before beginning work. The interlink wire can carry a live electric current between alarms if they are powered from different circuits.
