Q. Why does the extinguisher carry a kitemark but it is not CE marked
A. This product is actually classed as an aerosol as opposed to a portable fire extinguisher. The product complies with the requirements of the Aerosol Dispensers Directive 2008/47/EC and carries the inverted epsilon "3" symbol to confirm this. The "CE" mark normally only applies to EN3 portable fire extinguishers. Although the ABF cooking aerosol is not CE marked,it is manufactured and tested to comply with the requirements of BS 6165:2002.
