A fire warden, also known as a fire marshal, is an individual responsible for ensuring that fire safety procedures are followed within a company or organisation. Their primary role is, if a fire does occur, to ensure the safe evacuation of the premises, but they are also involved with helping to prevent fires in the first place. Fire wardens typically receive specialised training in fire safety, so that they can spot risks and suggested improvements, as well as evacuation procedures. They may also be responsible for conducting regular fire drills, inspecting fire safety equipment, and raising awareness about fire safety among employees.
Safelincs offer a range of products and training courses to help fire marshals carry out their duties and companies meet their legal obligations.
