How often do water mist extinguishers need servicing?
De-ionised water mist extinguishers are serviced in the same way foam and water fire extinguishers are. Steel extinguishers require an annual service by an engineer and a refill with de-ionised waterevery 5 years. For service-free P50 fire extinguishers with de-ionised water, the customer can carry out and record a simplified annual inspection. This type of extinguisher only requires a refill (and factory refurb) every ten years.
