Defibrillators For Schools

By the end of the academic year 2022/2023, the Department of Education expects all schools in England to have access to at least one defibrillator. Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs) play a vital role in saving the lives of pupils, staff and members of the public suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. The defibrillator bundles in this section all meet the minimum specification set out by the Department for Education and are supplied with both adult and paediatric pads.

The patient’s chance of survival when suffering from cardiac arrest is significantly improved when an AED is administered within 5 minutes. For any school installing a defibrillator, training is recommended to ensure staff are confident to react as soon as possible.
