Sealed 10 Year Smoke Alarms
Sealed smoke alarms contain a longlife lithium battery that supplies power for the entire ten year life of the smoke detector. At the end of the battery life the power supply is interrupted manually to stop the smoke alarm chirping and the alarm is disposed. 10 Year smoke alarms give peace of mind, stop anybody removing the battery for other purposes and avoid the smoke detector being on the ceiling with the battery removed (as happens often when a smoke alarm has false alarmed or is chirping to indicate a low battery state).
