Product Overview

Combustible metal fires can reach temperatures of up to 4700°C. Standard extinguishers are unable to combat these extreme temperatures, so Class D powder fire extinguishers were created. The specialist powder is applied to the source of the fire with a low velocity applicator. The powder melts into a glassy surface which prevents oxygen from fueling the fire while also drawing heat away.
