Kletter-Fix fire escape ladders are compact and can be deployed quickly. They can be used where standard escape ladder hooks cannot be placed over the wall / sill safely or when the extra stability and security of a wall-mounted bar is needed. In an emergency the strong metal hook of the ladder is hooked over a railing or rim with significant structural capacity (to support the weight of the ladder, and the user).

Kletter-Fix is the most compact metal fire escape ladder in the world. It is made in Germany from steel rope and aluminium rungs. This mobile rescue ladder is designed to the German standard BGI 638 and is used in over 50 countries by individuals, Fire Brigades and Rescue Services.

The Kletter-Fix escape ladder is available in different lengths and are supplied with distance pieces designed to keep the rungs off the wall, ensuring adequate space to comfortably position feet and hands while descending. As most of the person's weight is concentrated on the feet as they assume a comfortable vertical position with solid footing, there is very little strain on the arms, hands, and fingers. Carries up to 300kg in weight with a rung width of 330mm and a rung interval of 315mm.

Deployment Instructions

Kletter-Fix Deployment Step 1: Remove stacked rungs from the hook.

Kletter-Fix Deployment Step 2: Extend the ladder by carefully untwisting the rungs one-by-one.

Kletter-Fix Deployment Step 3: Hook Kletter-Fix onto a railing or rim with significant structural capacity.
