The HeartSine Samaritan PAD 500P is a semi-automatic defibrillator designed for individuals to respond to a sudden cardiac arrest incident, suitable for on-site first aiders with basic training and medical professionals alike. A semi-auto AED analyses the patient to determine if a shock is necessary but requires the responder to push a shock button to administer it, allowing professionals to use their medical skills and judgement in each case while still allowing any layperson to use the AED in an emergency. The HeartSine 500P can also guide the responder through good CPR technique with voice prompts based on real-time analysis of blood flow (cardiac output) via the electrode pads.
