FireRay Reflective Infrared Optical Beam Smoke Detector

The FireRay reflective infrared optical beam smoke detectors provide economical and effective protection of large, open plan spaces. Connected to an existing fire alarm panel system, the FireRay infrared smoke detector projects a beam, which is targeted at a reflective prism using horizontal and vertical thumbwheels. When the prism has been targeted, the beam is reflected back to the detector for analysis. Using one of three selectable alarm thresholds, an alarm signal is triggered when smoke enters the beam path and reduces the infrared signal to below the threshold for approximately 10 seconds.

• Each kit includes:
  • 1 x Optical Beam Smoke Detector - combined transmitter and receiver (transceiver)
  • 1 x Reflective Prism (50m version) or 4 x Reflective Prisms (100m version)
• Optical beam detector can be connected to an existing fire alarm system zone
• Detector projects a beam to the reflective prism which returns the beam to the detector
• Infrared beam is aligned using horizontal and vertical thumbwheels
• LED indicators aid the alignment process
• An alarm signal is triggered when smoke enters the beam path
• Available in 2 versions:
  • F50R: For a coverage of 5 - 50M
  • F100R: For a coverage of 50 - 100M
• Features three selectable alarm thresholds: 25%, 35% and 50% - these can be changed to suit the environment
• Automatic self check drift compensation: The system monitors long term degradation due to build up of dirt on the optical surfaces
