The FireAngel SB1-R is a 9V battery operated smoke alarm features optical (photo-electric) sensor technology ideal for detecting slow smouldering fires. The large test and hush button makes regularly testing your smoke alarm quick and easy. Also available in a handy twin pack.

Fitted on a FireAngel inoisation smoke alarm mount I hope it won't give the false alarms the previous ionisation detector gave during cooking. I wait to see how long the battery lasts. That's my key assessment of how good a smoke alarm is, provided we never experience a fire to find out how effective it is.
