Idiotproof and reliable This replaces a Kidde smoke alarm that has been in situ for over 15 years and finally reached the end of its useful life. This new one conveniently slotted on to the fixing screws for the old one and is incredibly easy to test and switch off when it sounds the alarm (after I have inadvertently burnt the toast). We have one of each floor and value the peace of mind they bring
