Exidor's CL1 and CL2 mechanical codelock outside access devices enable secure and restricted access into buildings from the outside through final exit doors where needed. These products are compatible with latch operated panic hardware - specifically the Exidor 296 and Exidor 297 systems. Both the CL1 and the CL2 offer a potential 1,584 different lock combinations, and are supplied non-handed to ensure compatibility with doors opening in either direction. The CL1 is classed as the standard option, whereas the CL2 version offers a 'passage function', meaning the door can be set to allow free passage without needing to enter the code. These devices are surface mounted, using concealed screws for security, and are supplied with spindles suitable for doors from 35mm to 60mm thick.

Does the job perfectly.
Used on the door to the village hall where lots of people need entrance... saves having a lot of keys cut.

It is crucial that outside access devices do not compromise the performance of escape hardware when fitted. All Exidor external access devices are carefully designed to ensure that the door functions as an entrance when needed, but as an emergency exit at all times.
To open the door from the outside, the C button should be pressed to reset the lock and the code typed in on the numerical pad. When the full code has been typed the handle can be turned, allowing the door to be opened and the user to pass through. When the handle is released, the code lock will re-engage.
When the passage function is activated the device is left unlocked, allowing free passage through the door. Simply press the dot button after entering the code to enable the passage function, and press it again to disable the function. Pressing the clear / cancel button will not disable the passage function.
Please note: When the passage function is enabled, the lever remains engaged/active until the door is re-locked.
