The Ei156 mains powered smoke alarm has now been discontinued by the manufacturer. Original manufacturer Ei Electronics (Aico) recommends the new Ei3016 optical smoke alarm as the most suitable replacement. Capable of interlinking with any Ei150 series alarms remaining in your system, the Ei3016 features a lithium back-up battery and optical sensor technology that is less prone to false alarms.

Please note: Due to the manufacturer changing the design of their baseplates, you will require an electrician to install these alarms in place of your old Ei156 alarms. However, the same power and interlink wiring from your existing connector can be used for the new base.
