Two-wire panels run all devices on a single circuit, which reduces installation costs. Four-wire panels require a separate sounder circuit but offer reliable and economical performance.

A conventional system typically includes a control panel, manual call points, smoke or heat detectors, sounders, beacons and cabling. The exact components depend on your building's size and zone configuration.
