The black P50 6ltr water mist fire extinguisher offers a sleek, contemporary alternative to the traditional red unit—perfect for design focused spaces where aesthetics matter. Built with Britannia’s advanced service free technology, this extinguisher requires no annual engineer servicing. Instead, a simple visual check once a year keeps it compliant throughout its 10 year service life.
Engineered to rigorous BS EN3 standards, the P50 uses clean water mist technology and contains no PFAS chemicals, making it a safer and more environmentally responsible choice.
Please Note: These extinguishers have been manufactured and tested using exactly the same standards and processes as the Red BS EN3 Approved 6ltr P50 Water Mist. These extinguishers meet the requirements in the Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) however, as with any non-red unit, they cannot meet British Standards which stipulates the colour of the cylinder.

"We were blown away with the opportunity to simplify safety through the installation of P50s across our estate. P50s are the next level of extinguisher; folding 2 extinguishers into one and removing extensive and expensive maintenance regimes. All while allowing us to improve asset management, simplify training and make it easier for a colleague to execute a potentially life savings action in the event of a fire."
From the conception through to project completion, the Safelincs team demonstrated outstanding professionalism, expertise, and commitment to delivering the highest standards. Their knowledge and understanding of the specific requirements of a busy healthcare environment gave us complete confidence throughout the process. The installation was carried out efficiently, with minimal disruption to hospital operations, and every member of the team was courteous, and highly professional. Their attention to detail, clear communication, and dedication to ensuring full compliance with fire safety regulations were exemplary.
The 2 main benefits to the change to P50 extinguishers are that (1) it represents an innovative and cost-effective solution compared to traditional extinguishers, and also (2) with its capability to extinguish multiple classes of fire there is no chance that the wrong extinguisher can be used. The change to P50 extinguishers has contributed a significant reduction of 22,000kg across the life span of the project to support the NHS carbon reduction plan and net zero commitment.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Safelincs to any organisation seeking a trusted, knowledgeable, and reliable fire safety partner. Safelincs have contributed to enhancing fire safety across Birmingham Women's and Children's Hospital, and we look forward to working with them again in the future. Thank you to the entire Safelincs team for a first-class service.
