Hochiki's ESP-protocol manual call points and ACB-EW weatherproof heat detectors need addressing, but do not fit onto the TCH-B200 Address Programmer's mounting which is designed for detectors, sounders, and beacons. The PL-3 programming lead is needed in order to address Hochiki MCPs, featuring a square plug at one end that connects to the MCP circuit board and a headphone-like jack at the other end which plugs into the TCH-B200 address programmer. The PL-2 cable features two crocodile clips, instead of the square plug, which must be connected to the weatherproof heat detector and other legacy products.
