Astroflame Fire Resistant Batt

Constructed from a mineral fibre core coated on both sides with Astroflame mastic, the Astroflame fire batt is specially designed to seal service penetrations in walls and floors. When the mastic coating is subjected to high temperatures it transforms into a hard ceramic that prevents the passage of fire, smoke and heat for up to 4 hours. Suitable for indoor use without additional protection, with a lifespan of over 25 years, and also providing acoustic and thermal insulation, the Astroflame batt has been tested and proven in a variety of construction materials including concrete, masonry, and plasterboard partitions.

Please note: Dust masks, eye protection and gloves should be worn when cutting. Cut edges should be sealed using Astroflame Coating to maintain integrity. Seal batt in place with Astroflame Intumescent Acoustic Mastic.
