The Eden LED emergency lighting bulkhead can be installed in maintained or non-maintained operation and features an IP65 weatherproof rating, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications. The energy saving LEDs provide high emergency light output and achieve a lifespan of over 54,000 hours. Fitted with a back-up battery, the Eden LED bulkhead will illuminate for 3 hours after a mains failure, helping to light escape routes in an emergency.

Q. Is it possible for a maintained emergency light to be converted to non-maintained when installed?
A.
Yes, it is possible for a maintained emergency light to be installed in non-maintained operation. Maintained luminaires have two live connections - permanent supply and switched supply. If you decide to install the maintained light in non-maintained operation, the electrician just needs to miss out the switched live connection during installation. It is not possible to install a non-maintained light in maintained operation.
