The Ei3105TYC can be interconnected with up to 11 other units and has a sealed 10 year battery, meaning that there is no need to replace the battery for the entire lifespan of the unit.

- Senses smoke using the light scatter principle
- A maximum of 12 units can be interconnected via bell wire
- Can be interconnected with bell wire to any other Ei interconnectable smoke alarm to ensure that the alarm is heard in all the house!
- Alarms that can be interconnected include:
- Kitemarked to BS EN 14604:2005
- Suitable for installations complying to BS 5839-6: 2013 Grade F
- CE marked
- Hush button
- 10 year end of life warning

No, firstly this alarm has a 10 year sealed lithium battery that can not be removed and secondly after 10 years the alarm should be replaced.

works well but not so easy to test as the Ei100tyc by other methods that pressing the button 10 year battery life still remains to be seen
