Spectrum Healthcare AlbacMat Flexible Evacuation Stretcher

The AlbacMat flexible stretcher is used for the evacuation of immobile persons in the event of a fire or emergency. Suitable for horizontal and vertical evacuations, the AlbacMat is made up of a red nylon sheet bonded to a polycarbonate flexible board, which can glide over most types of surface including vinyl, carpet, concrete, bitumen and grass. The patient is secured into the AlbacMat using two velcro straps and a foot pocket, whilst a foil blanket helps to keep them warm.

Please note: Due to the lifesaving nature of these devices, it is recommended that a separate evacuation sledge is used for drills and training purposes. This will ensure that the sledge used in an emergency has been exposed to minimal wear and tear.
