The Kingpin emergency bolt is suitable for use on final exit doors of buildings which are not used by the general public. When the handle is pulled, the ‘Kingpin’ breaks into two pieces, allowing the spring-loaded bolt to retract and thus to release the door. Both broken pieces remain attached to the bolt, thus eliminating any risk of injury or contamination. The door can, at all times, be used for non-emergency purposes by the key holder.
