The Firechief FSW1 Kitchen Stove Guard is an intelligent, automatic fire‑prevention system that monitors cooking activity and shuts off the power supply before a fire can start. Ideal for homes, sheltered accommodation, student housing, and assisted‑living environments where unattended cooking is a major risk.
The Stove Guard doesn’t just detect fires, it prevents them. By intervening before ignition, it dramatically reduces the risk of kitchen fires, the leading cause of domestic fire incidents in the UK. It’s a smart, unobtrusive safeguard that protects people, property, and peace of mind.

To complement its intelligent heat detection technology, the Stove Guard can be linked to many Telecare Systems so carers can be alerted to potential fires. The Stove Guard can also be adapted to work with some sensory signals such as vibrating pads and flashing beacons to ensure those with hearing or sight impairments are also alerted to what could have been a dangerous cooking incident.
The Stove Guard performs automatic fault diagnosis which means that no monthly testing is required. If the Stove Guard detects a fault, it will alert any occupants with a series of beeps and will turn the power to the cooker off to ensure that unsafe cooking could not take place. Fault beeps vary to indicate which type of fault has been detected. Troubleshooting tips are also included in the manual to assist with the diagnosis of any issues.
