Astroflame PFP FR intumescent pipe wraps are designed to reinstate fire resistance where plastic or insulated metal pipes penetrate drywall, masonry, or concrete walls and floors. Replacing the popular Astro Wrap, PFP FR offers enhanced performance and broader application, including use on specified metal pipes with continuous combustible insulation. In the event of a fire, the intumescent material expands up to 28 times its original size, sealing around the pipe to prevent the spread of fire.

  • Maintain fire compartmentation with up to 240-minute fire rating
  • Independently tested and approved for use on a wide range of plastic pipe materials
  • CE Marked and certified for use on:
    • PE, PP, PVC, PVC-U, PVC-C, ABS, LDPE, MDPE, HDPE, and SAN+PVC
  • Also suitable for use on metal pipes with continuous combustible insulation
  • Tested to BS EN 13501 Parts 1 and 2 for reaction / resistance to fire
  • Available in various lengths to accommodate different pipe diameters:
    • 55mm, 82mm, 110mm, & 160mm
  • Designed with a working life of up to 30 years under the correct installation conditions
  • Ideal for phased construction projects as there is no defined shelf life
  • Tested and certified for unrestricted / unrestricted (U/U) pipe end configurations
