Motorised Infrared Optical Beam Smoke Detector - FireRay 5000
The FireRay 5000 is a motorised, auto-aligning infrared optical beam smoke detector. When installed, the optical beam detector projects a well-defined beam to the reflective prism, which returns the beam to the detector for analysis. The FireRay 5000 is ideally suited for the protection of large areas where the use of traditional detection technologies would prove to be difficult and / or costly to install.
- Approved to BS EN 54-12: 2002
- Protects large areas where traditional detection technologies are not suitable
- Transceiver projects a beam to the reflective prism which returns the beam to the transceiver
- An alarm signal is triggered when smoke enters the beam path
- Available in two version:
- For a distance of up to 50m
- For a distance of up to 100m
- Features integral laser alignment aid
- Automatic beam alignment: After the laser has been used to coarsely align the beam the system will take over and automatically align to its optimum position
- Automatic contamination and building shift compensation: The beam will automatically be realigned to compensate for contamination and gradual building shift
- Low level system controller monitors the detector and indicates the status of the protected area
- Cost effective and quick to install
- Approved by LPCB and the Construction Products Directive
- Compliant with the requirements of RoHS and WEEE
