UltraFire fire extinguishers

Water Mist Extinguishers The most versatile option for indoor use. UltraFire water mist extinguishers contain only de-ionised water dispensed through a specially designed nozzle. They're non-toxic, leave very little residue and are certified safe on electrical equipment up to 35,000 volts. They tackle Class A fires involving paper, wood and fabric, and can be used on cooking oil fires up to a 5F rating.

Available in 2ltr, and 6ltr:

• 6ltr: offices, schools, churches, HMOs, shops and heritage buildings
• 2ltr: homes and caravans

ABC Powder Extinguishers Cover Class A, B, C and electrical fires. Available in 1kg, 2kg, 6kg and 9kg. The smaller models suit vehicles, garages and workshops. Selected models carry MED approval for marine use.

But note: BS 5306-8:2012 advises against using powder indoors because of the mess and the effect on visibility and breathing. Water mist is a better fit for most indoor environments.

CO2 Extinguishers For Class B and electrical fires. CO2 leaves no residue, so it's the right choice for server rooms and offices with sensitive electrical equipment. The 2kg model is easy to handle and often pairs with a water mist extinguisher to cover Class A risks at the same fire point.

Wet Chemical Extinguishers For Class F fires involving cooking oils and fats. The 6ltr model is rated 13A and 75F, Kitemarked to BS EN3 and uses a lance to control discharge. The right choice for commercial and domestic kitchens.

UltraFire smoke and heat alarms

ULLS10 Optical Smoke Alarm A standalone optical smoke alarm with a ten-year sealed lithium battery and a ten-year warranty. Fit it to the mounting plate and it powers up automatically. The test and silence button covers almost the entire face of the alarm. Kitemarked to BS EN 14604: 2005 and suitable for BS 5839-6: 2019 Grade F1 installations. Best placed in hallways, landings, living rooms and bedrooms.

ULLS10RF Radio-Interlinked Optical Smoke Alarm The same alarm as the ULLS10 with wireless interlink. Connect up to 15 ULL10RF series alarms in a single system: if one detects smoke, all connected alarms sound. Suitable for Scottish legislation requirements for interlinked alarms in homes. Kitemarked to BS EN 14604: 2005.

ULLH10 Heat Alarm For kitchens, garages and unconverted loft spaces where dust, steam or cooking fumes would set off a smoke alarm. It responds to a rise in temperature rather than particles in the air. Ten-year sealed lithium battery and ten-year warranty. Kitemarked to BS 5446-2: 2003 and suitable for BS 5839-6 Grade F1 installations.

ULLH10RF Radio-Interlinked Heat Alarm The wireless interlink version of the ULLH10. Connects with up to 15 ULL10RF series alarms. Particularly useful in a kitchen as part of a whole-home interlinked system.

RF Interlink Alarm Kits Ready-to-go kits combining optical smoke alarms and a heat alarm for whole-home coverage. The three smoke and one heat kit cover the hallway, landing, living room, and kitchen in one purchase.

UltraFire carbon monoxide alarms

UBCO1 Carbon Monoxide Alarm A ten-year sensor CO alarm for bedrooms, living rooms and anywhere a fuel-burning appliance is installed: boilers, gas cookers, fireplaces and portable generators. Features a reduced-volume test function, low battery warning and end-of-life alert. Ten-year warranty.

ULLCO10 Travel CO Alarm Kitemarked to BS EN 50291-1 and BS EN 50291-2. Designed for caravans, motorhomes, boats and camping. Comes with an optional travel strap so you can clip it to a bag, mount it on a wall or leave it free-standing.

UltraFire extinguisher cabinets

Both UltraFire Single and Double Cabinets hold extinguishers up to 9ltr/9kg. They have an EPDM weather seal and an IP59k rating, so are suitable for outdoors at caravan parks, leisure sites and building exteriors.
