Philips
Philips HeartStart defibrillators are among the most widely used AEDs in the UK. The range covers public access devices through to professional models for trained responders and paramedics. Every HeartStart guides the rescuer with voice prompts and visual icons, so you don't need a medical background to use one. We stock the HS1 and FRx defibrillators, and replacement pads and batteries for the HS1, FRX, and FR3, along with trainer units and accessories.

Philips HeartStart defibrillators we stock
Philips HeartStart HS1 - Semi-Automatic A compact semi-automatic defibrillator with step-by-step voice instructions for both defibrillation and CPR. Press the CPR guidance button and it gives extra audio prompts on compression technique. Suitable for adults and, with the Infant/Child SMART Pads cartridge, children aged one to eight. Daily automatic self-tests confirm the device is ready. Eight-year warranty, supplied with a carry case.
Philips HeartStart FRx - Semi-Automatic Built for harsher environments. The FRx survives a one-metre drop onto concrete and works in the rain, so it's a good fit for industrial sites, construction sites, sports facilities and schools. Voice prompts, visual icons and CPR coaching guide the rescuer throughout. Children under eight can be treated using the infant/child key, sold separately. Recommended under the Government's Department for Education guidelines for schools. Eight-year warranty.

Which Philips HeartStart is right for you?
It depends on where the device will live and who's likely to be the first on the scene.
The HS1 suits offices, retail premises, places of worship and community venues where most responders won't have formal first aid training. The FRx is a better fit for schools, sports facilities and outdoor or industrial environments where the device might take a knock or get wet.
Both are semi-automatic. None of them requires medical training to operate.
