Ensure that the Dorgards internal clock is set to 12:00 noon by inserting the batteries at 12:00 noon.
On the back of the Dorgard use a screwdriver to select the night-time setting required. Flick the dip switch toward the number to select that setting.

A flash every 32 seconds indicates everything is working properly.
1.3 seconds
A flash every 1.3 seconds indicates the Dorgard is hearing an alarm. If the Dorgard didn't release then adjust the sensitivity of the Dorgard.
HiLo HiLo HiLo
The Dorgard is about to release the door.
(If the warning tone has been disabled - no tone will sound).
LoHi LoHi LoHi
The Dorgard is resetting. This sequence is followed by the motor driving. Once this is complete it is ready for reactivation.
Carefully insert a small screwdriver into the hole on the front of the unit (to the left of the Dorgard logo on the front of the unit).
Turn the screwdriver clockwise 5 degrees.
(A small adjustment is equivalent to a large alteration in sensitivity).
Turn the screwdriver anti-clockwise 5 degrees.
(A small adjustment is equivalent to a large alteration in sensitivity).
Test the Dorgard to the fire alarm. If the problem persists then repeat the previous step until the Dorgard releases to the fire alarm correctly.
Open the fire door and press down on the plunger.
Sound the alarm for a minimum 30 seconds.
The LED will flash every 1.3 seconds to show it is hearing the alarm.
The Dorgard will release the fire door in approximately 20 seconds.
When the Dorgard is about to release the door it will sound a “Hi-Lo” tone 8 times.
After the Dorgard has released the fire door and the alarm has ceased it will reset after 10 seconds.
Clean the unit with a slightly damp cloth to remove any dust or dirt.
Check the 3 holes for the microphone are clear of any dust, dirt, etc. If any dust or dirt is found then use a vacuum cleaner to remove it.
Check the Dorgard unit is firmly attached to the door.
Check the Ferrule for signs of major wear or damage.
Check the floorplate is securely attached and has not been damaged.
Replace the batteries every 6 months with alkaline not rechargeable batteries.
This indicates that the battery lift is not screwed down properly
