This discrete recessed down-light is a complete and easy solution for LED mains and emergency applications. The MRDM range is designed to be used as a stand alone unit that is passed through a 40mm diameter cut out. Consisting of a module, battery pack and LED unit these components fit together with the non reversible connectors and are simply passed through the cut out into the void above. Available in either white or silver this unit is the ultimate in concealed emergency lighting and suitable for incorporation into an emergency lighting system complying with BS5266-1:2005.

Q.Can a switchable emergency light be on a PIR sensor?
A.Yes the fitting can be attached to a PIR, however the ballasts and lamps lifetime are reduced when you switch them on and off regularly on a PIR. The manufacturer recommends that if they are to be used on a PIR that they are switched on for the longest predefined time as possible.
Q.Will the control gear for the MRDM emergency light fit through the cut out?
A.Yes, the control gear and battery pack will fit through the cut out. The control gear is 150mm long x 15mm wide x 30mm high.
