Product Overview
  • Wirelessly connects with other Ei radio-interlinked smoke and heat alarms
  • 230V alarm with tamper-proof rechargeable Lithium battery back-up
  • Memory feature records if CO has been detected
  • The Ei262 uses a high performance electrochemical sensor to detect CO presence.  The sensor can be replaced after 5 years to provide a combined 10 year protection against CO gas.
  • When in alarm mode, the Ei262 will send an alarm signal to all other radio-interlinked smoke, heat and CO alarms with the same house codes.
  • Built-in radioLINK repeater function allows for the RF signal to work around obstructions
  • Easy to use test/hush button
  • Distinctive alarm sound 85dB(A) with modulated sound output to distinguish from a smoke alarm
  • Detector alarms from: 30ppm (parts per million) CO gas
  • Pre-alarm warning LED flashes at 50 parts per million
  • Power, alarm and fault indicator lights
  • Kitemarked to BS EN 50291:2010 and CE certified
  • Dimensions (HxWxD): 126x150x42mm

FAQs (6)

Q. Question regarding the Ei262 CO alarm and the Ei161 and Ei164 smoke and heat alarms - do I need to have a base unit for each of these items to allow them to radio interlink together?

A. The Ei161 smoke alarm and the Ei164 heat alarm each require a radio interlink base for the interconnection to be achieved. The radio-interlink based is called the Ei168RC. In terms of the Ei262 CO alarm, this does not need a separate base plate. This is because the radio-interconnection is built into the alarm.

Q. Please could you explain how the repeater function works on the Aico/Ei radio interlinked detectors.

A. Hello. The radioLINK repeater function allows the smoke alarm to "repeat" the radio frequency signal around obstructions. This stops the signal from becoming blocked and ensures that all interlinked alarms can be reached. This repeater function is built-in to the the Ei168RC radioLINK base (with Ei140, Ei160 or Ei2110 alarm), the Ei600 series of radio interlinked battery powered smoke and heat alarms as well as the Ei262 and Ei208WRF carbon monoxide alarms as standard. When house coded, the system works itself out which alarms are to act as repeaters - it's not something you set up yourself.

Q. Can the Ei160 RF series be connected to a CO detector?

A. Yes, you can use either the battery powered Ei208WRF CO detector or the mains powered Ei262 CO detector. We also recommend that you fit a Ei412 locator switch to allow you to find out if an alarm was caused by CO gas or a fire!

Q. Is there a carbon monoxide alarm for the hearing impaired?

A. Yes, we supply a strobe and vibration pad for the deaf and hard of hearing, Ei170RF, which can be linked to a mains powered carbon monoxide alarm, Ei262.

Q. Where more than one radio-interlinked battery operated smoke alarm is installed, if the battery in one alarm failed would the other alarms be affected?

A. If one alarm was to malfunction the other units would not be affected, if it was due to alarm failure. If the fault was with the radio-interlinking signal, then all alarms that are in the chain after the faulty alarm would be affected and they would not go off.
