Our selection of mains powered smoke alarms with backup batteries are available with either standard alkaline batter backup or long-life lithium battery backup. New builds and property extensions must be fitted with mains-powered smoke detectors by law, linked through either cables or radio-interlink to the alarms in the rest of the units in the house. Linking your smoke alarms in your house to your bedroom and lounge give early warning of potential fire risks in your house and more time to react. Having radio-interlinked units fitted in you bedroom or lounge reduces time in installation, does not require wiring between units and is effective at linking alarms where installation of wiring would not be possible. Wired connection units still have their benefits, offering lower purchase prices for alarm units with the same features..
