Smoke Alarms for New Builds and Alterations
Hard Wire Interconnection
This range of mains powered interlink smoke alarms 'communicate' with each other via hard-wire technology. When interlinked, the alarms create a complete house system with alarms covering all potential fire types, providing optical smoke alarm, ionisation smoke alarm, and heat alarm protection for all rooms in a building.
Alarms are available with alkaline or lithium battery backup options. Mains powered alarm systems comply with Grade D, E and F of BS 5839-6:2004 as required by building regs.
Radio-interlinked
This range of battery operated radio interlinked smoke alarms communicate with each other via radio-frequency (wireless). When interlinked the alarms create a complete house system, providing optical and ionisation smoke alarm and heat alarm protection without the wiring. The battery power supply reduces installation costs and time and avoids ugly wiring in your building.
Available with alkaline or lithium batteries. Battery operated alarm systems comply with Grade F of BS 5839-6:2004.
New Build houses or houses that have had material alterations carried out, such as extensions, must be equipped with mains-powered interlinked smoke detectors. These detectors can be linked to one another through either hard-wired cables or Radio Frequency (wireless) to the rest of the alarms in the system.
All of these mains powered alarms have an alkaline or lithium backup battery. The alarms shown comply to Grades D, E and F of BS 5839-6:2004 which is the standard required by building regs.
