The Ei100TYC can be interconnected with up to 11 other units and has a sealed 10 year battery, meaning that there is no need to replace the battery for the complete lifespan of the unit.
- Long life Lithium Battery Ionisation Smoke Alarm
- 5 year warranty on alarm
- A maximum of 12 units can be interconnected via bell wire
- Alarms that can be interconnected include:
- Kitemarked to BS EN 14604:2005
- Fully conforming to BS 5839-6:2004 Grade F
- Sealed-in battery is tamper-proof
- Hush button for nuisance alarms
- Power-on indicator
- 10 year 'end-of-life' warning

Can't really comment on the 10 year life of course. But it replaced a 10 year kit that lasted less than 3!!
Interconnection was easier than anticipated and on test it was soooo loud - mind you that is what is needed!!
