Letterbox blanking plates protect letterboxes against arson and vandalism while premises are unoccupied, eg during holidays or in between tenants in the case of let properties. Our easily fitted and removed blanking plates work with most letterbox apertures. Constructed from solid steel they are secured in place by internally accessed handwheels. Letterblox™ lockable letterplate coverings are an insurance requirement for rented properties when they are left unoccupied.

Carefully remove your existing letter plate from the door you wish to fit the Letterblox to. Place your removed letter plate and all fixings into the supplied ziplock bag to ensure all components are kept together and are easily accessible should you wish to refit your original letter plate in the future.
Use the supplied sizing gauge to determine the thickness of your door and select the corresponding components from the Letterblox kit to ensure that a secure fit can be achieved.
Place the exterior plate into the external letterbox aperture (so the protruding section is facing inwards). The foam gasket can then be fitted over the protruding section as this will help to hold the plate in place when fitting the interior plate.
Place the interior plate over the internal letterbox opening and connect both plates using the knobs and spacers selected in Step 2. Loosely screw the handwheels into place so that both plates are held together.
Ensure the Letterblox™ is straight and tighten the knobs to ensure that both plates are fixed against the door and are providing a secure seal. If the fitment is too loose / tight, try a different combination of handwheels / spacers until the desired fitment is achieved.
The Letterblox™ Kit has been designed to fit most letterbox apertures. Contents list:
