Product Overview
Astroflame intumescent pipe wraps are suitable for PVC pipes which penetrate masonry or concrete walls and floors. Astroflame intumescent pipe wraps can also be used on steel pipes to achieve a cooling effect. Upon contact with fire the intumescent material will expand and seal off the pipe preventing the spread of fire.
Technical Data
- 4 hour fire rating
- Intumescent material is totally unaffected by water, is robust, ‘non-flaking’ and difficult to tear
- Available in 4 sizes to suit 55mm, 82mm, 110mm or 160mm diameter pipes
- Tested to BS 476: Part 20 and EN 1366: Part 3
- Certifire approved

The specification exceeded the requirement that satisfied the inspecting authority. The requirement was for a small and reasonably priced wrap that arrived fast, got installed easily and was of a provenance that satisfied the inspecting suthority. Safelincs did it all. It's not the first time we have used this product.
