Witnessing the Telesteps loft ladder 'trick' of making the stairs appear and disappear will convince almost anyone. I'ts the worlds cleverest and most compact solution to a common problem - reaching the loft.
It is the world's first telescopic loft ladder. Merely open the hatch, pull down the ladder holder and pull out the ladder. When the ladder is contracted it fits within the frame of the attic hatch with a maximum overhang of 8 inches.
The Telesteps loft ladders are fashioned from 100% anodised aluminium. This ensures the ladders, and you, stay clean no matter how many time you use them. Slide bushings and moulded dampers give the ladders a smooth, safe sliding action when you open and close them. The feet are made of ribbed rubber for added safety on all surface types.

Q.please could you tell me:-
1.whether this ladder would be suitable for use as a fire escape from a roof window
2.for a ceiling height of 2.9metres, the hatch size is 77cm deep(the depth of the ceiling) and 66cm wide. would the ladder collapse into this size so that it did not hang down from the ceiling?
A.The ladder would be suitable as an access to an escape route. However, we can not judge if the hatch itself classifies as an escape route. Your building inspector would have to judge this. The length of the hatch was not mentioned, neither if the hatch sits at ceiling level or higher. Assuming that the hatch sits at ceiling level and is longer than 600mm, the ladder would be suitable
