One in seven people may not be woken up by a conventional smoke alarm system
due to a hearing disability. Our smoke alarms for the deaf and hard of hearing
feature high-intensity strobe lights and vibration pads to wake the deaf person
during the night if there is a fire alarm.
We offer portable deaf alarm systems as well as wired alarm systems for the deaf
and hard of hearing.
The Ei170RF is a radio-interlinked strobe and vibration pad kit for the deaf
and hard of hearing. The unit is activated by radio-signals from our range of
radio-interlinked Ei Electronics smoke alarms. The Ei170RF consists of a control unit with a built-in high-intensity Xenon strobe light and a plug-in
vibration pad. In the case of fire the radio-linked smoke alarms send a signal
to the Ei170RF, which will start its strobe and activates the vibration pad,
alerting the deaf person of the fire.
