This mains powered Radio-interlinked ionisation smoke alarm does not require any cable to connect with other Ei140 series smoke alarms and is ideal for extensions, small let properties and small businesses.
- Mains powered radio-interlinked smoke alarms as a variation of the Ei141 ionisation smoke alarm
- Each unit consists of a radio-frequency base-plate and the Ei141ionisation smoke alarm sensor
- Alkaline backup batteries (included)
- Requires no cables between units
- Can be powered from the nearest light fitting
- 5 year warranty
- A maximum of 12 units can be interconnected
- Alarms that can be interconnected include:
- Ei168RC/EI146, Ei168RC/Ei144 - Kitemarked to BS EN 14604:2005
- Fully conforming to BS 5839-6:2004 Grade D, E and F
- CE marked
- With test and hush button
- LED display to show correct power supply
- Can transmit up to 30m (larger distances can be achieved by using one unit as repeater)

Q.Are there any restrictions to the distance a radio-interlinked smoke alarm will work?
A.Most radio-interlinked alarms have a range of 150 meters in an open space and up to 30 meters in buildings. The thickness of the walls and partitions will affect the travel distance of the signal. Most units can be set up as a 'repeater' which will increase the distance by a further 30 meters.
