Fire Exit Signs, also known as Fire Escape Route Signs, must be visible even
when
the power supply fails. Illuminated fire escape route signs
and fire exit signs fulfil this requirement. The minimum backup duration of emergency
lighting as specified by regulations is generally between 1 and 3 hours.
For more information on emergency lighting see our emergency lighting guide. To view our full range of illuminated fire exit signs visit Safelincs Illuminated Fire Exit Signs Portal.
Our illuminated fire exit signs, also called emergency exit signs, show the direction of the escape route and will light the escape route if the power fails. They contain a battery pack, which is trickle charged from the mains supply. Exit signs can be wall-mounted, ceiling mounted or hanging off chains if the ceilings are high. We also offer a range of LED emergency exit signs which save electricity and maintenance cost as the lifespan of LEDs is superior to the normally used tubes.
