With the ability to control all Dorgard X and Deafgard X units within a 100m radius, the System X is the ideal installation in busy, noisy environments such as offices, school, hotels etc. The fitted System X includes a transmitter that acoustically detects fire alarms and sends a radio signal to Dorgard X door holders and Deafgard X deaf units in an emergency situation, ensuring that all fire doors close and deaf users are made aware of the alarm.
A site survey has to be carried out on every premises before installation to specify what units will need to be fitted and in what locations. Testing of the equipment will also be carried out to ensure effectiveness.

| Dorgard X (Receiver) Dorgard X works the same way as a standard Dorgard, by allowing a fire door to be held open legally. However, it is listening out for a radio signal from the System X Transmitter (TX) unit rather than for the local sound level. Upon receiving the radio signal from the TX unit the Dorgard X will release the fire door allowing it to close under the pressure of the overhead door closer. | ||
| |||
| System X (Transmitter) The System X Transmitter (TX) is positioned next to your fire alarm bell or sounder. In the event of the fire alarm sounding, the TX unit will transmit a radio signal to all Dorgard X and Deafgard X units within a 100 metre range to release the fire doors and activate all the Deafgardunits. | ||
| |||
| Deafgard X Deafgard X works in a similar way to the Dorgard X. The system is activated by the System X transmitter. When the Deafgard X receives a signal from the System X transmitter, the bedside unit will activate the high intensity strobe and vibration pad. | ||
