Car fires offer a challenge to extinguishers. Burning fuel, liquifying burning tyres and plastics and difficult to reach engine room areas make it difficult to fight a fire. We recommend small and handy but yet powderful 1 or 2kg powder extinguishers or the 2 litre foam extinguishers. Some of our car extinguishers can be used one-handed which helps in the general panic of a car fire. Powder car fire extinguishers have a great ability of 'knocking down' an engine fire is seconds.
Small leisure boats can suffer from kitchen or engine fires and while the small powder extinguishers are invaluable for fighting a boat engine fire, they should not be used in the cabin of the boat as they cause extensive damage and can be inhaled, especially in smaller cabins. We recommend foam extinguishers in the boat cabin. Please note that we also offer dry water mist extinguishers in a different section on our website, which are suitable for cabine and engine fires and do not cause any chemical damage. Caravans need a small fire extinguisher to fight gas fires, and general household fires. We offer a range of small powder and foam extinguishers for these purposes. Please note that the new E-Series dry water mist extinguishers can be used extremely well in caravans.
