Astroflame Intumescent Downlight Cover
Ceilings within commercial buildings are subject to fire regulations, but once a hole has been cut in them to allow the fitting of a downlight their ability to perform in a fire is greatly reduced. Fitting an Astroflame downlight cover can restore the integrity of the ceiling. Upon contact with fire the downlight cover will expand internally and fill all available space with a highly insulating fire resistant char.
- 60 minute fire rating
- Ventilated to prevent heat buildup from lights
- Prevents fire from penetrating the ceiling void
- Good acoustic insulation
- Self supporting
- Available in a range of sizes from small to xxlarge
- NHBC type approval
- Tested to BS EN 1365-2:2000 and BS 476-23
