Q.What fixing height is recommended for the alarm?
A.The recommended fixing height will vary depending what gas you are trying to detect.
For natural gas the unit should be mounted at head height and for LPG the unit should be mounted lower to the floor as LPG is heaver than air.
Q.Will this alarm be suitable for installation in a motorhome? does the unit need wiring in?
A.The alarm is suitable for use in a motorhome providing you have a mains power supply. The unit is provided with a standard 230V plug and does not need and specialist wiring.
Q.Will this unit detect gas from LPG cookers?
A.Yes the HMP230 will detect LPG and natural gas
Q.Will this unit detect gas from domestic appliances?
A.Yes the HMP230 will detect natural gas (methane) which is used by domestic appliances.
