Q.You stipulate that your heat alarm triggers at 58 deg C, yet your brochure states an operation temperature range of 0 to 40 deg C. There seems to be incongruity here. Could you explain? please.

A.The unit itself ( housing, components, etc ) will work in an ambient temperature of 0 to 40 deg C.
The temperature at the sensor must reach 58 deg C to trigger the alarm.

5 stars for construction, looks and performance. Sturdily built and looks very good in place. Passed all tests. The back plate of the unit has one hole for the interconnection wire and not a lot of room for drilling another so I wasn't able to replace my units without filling twelve screw holes and repainting six patches on my ceilings. There is a label which has to be pierced in order to slip the wires for interconnection through. The label very easily rips, don't rely upon it to keep out any dust or debris from a hole in a plaster ceiling that your wire pokes through.
