Very easy to fit. Mine actually mounted using the same screw positions as the previous (non-Kidde alarm) so I didn't even need to drill any holes in the ceiling. Alarm is very loud - should wake the dead!

Very satisfied with the product but would like to see a warning that the base plate nedds fixing in position before fitting on the alarm. I couldn't release the alarm from the base plate and found it tricky to them fix it in position. More a reflection of me than the product!
