Q.Hi, (all questions with reference to products with lithium ion batteries to last 10 years and that can be wired e.g. Ei3105TYC)
1. i was wondering if you have 12 units wired together, if one were to malfunction would it affect the ability of the others to give alarm together?
2. Also, can the battery be replaced after 10 years if we want to?
3. When the test button is pressed on one of the units will this cause all the others to sound as well?
4. When there is an genuine nuisance alarm and all 12 units go off, can they be silenced from any of the 12?
A.1. If one of the alarms was to malfunction, the connection between all the alarms would still be active.
If the malfunction was not the alarm, but the interlink, then only the alarms upto this point would sound.
2. This unit is a sealed unit therefore the batteries cannot be replaced.
3. Yes, pressing the test button will cause all the additional alarms to sound as well.
4. The alarm that triggers all the alarms to sound will flash red on the LED, the trigger alarm will need the hush button pressing to silence the nuisance alarm.
